From Nathan:
From Nathan's Father, Orv Westby:
Nathan was a member of the class of '79 but did not graduate from Riggs because I accepted a new position in the Twin Cities that opened in the Fall of '78.  He was graduated from Robbinsdale High in '79 and was admitted to Augustana College in the Fall of '79  He completed the Fall semester.  He did not return to Augie because of the onset of a cancerous brain tumor for which he had surgery in January of 1980, which went well, but the use of excessive radiation and chemotherapy diminished his memory and mental capabilities.  He lives with us and is continuing to do well and enjoys random recall of past events and experiences in his life.  He would enjoy any cards and pictures of anone in his class.  We look farward to his reactions to the class picture.
Pease keep him on your mailing list.

Hello class of '79!
I'm sorry to have missed the reunion, but I appreciate the classmates that have worked so hard on this website - it's so nice to be able to e-mail folks from the past!!

OK...... so the picute isn't of me, but I thought you'd all appreciate it and it'd bring back a good memory or two.

Wow, what a great time!  I laughed more this weekend than I have since we last gathered.  It was so great to see so many of you.  Thanks again to the committee for putting together such a fantastic event.  Please post your pictures - we still have plenty of room on this site.  Do keep in touch and see you all at Bob's Lounge in 5 years!

Thanks to Vona, Jackie, Nancy, and all who helped organize the 30-year get together.  What fun!  I am so glad I didn't miss it.  Thanks to all who took the time and $ to get there.  I am sorry some were not able to attend...please come next time as everyone would love to see you.  My only complaint is that the time flew by so fast and I didn't get to talk to all that were there.

My husband, Bob, and our family live in Bozeman.  Lately, we have been going back to Rapid and the Hills monthly to see my Mom and to enjoy the beautiful Black Hills.

I enjoyed catching up with those at the reunion and I look forward to hearing from more on this Class of 79 site.

Can you believe 30 years!  Nothing that Alieve won't take care of.

After living in Phoenix, AZ for 10 years ('85-'95), I came home to care for my ailing father who had Parkinson's.  I worked for Dakota State University as a Programmer and was under contract to SD Dept of Human Services for 12 years.

For the past 2 years, I've been working for the State of South Dakota BIT managing all the State's web servers & sites.  I've managed to crash the system a time or two.  It keeps me very busy.

I am step-father to my wife Princess' (yes, that is her real name) two children; Armando (Class of '03) is serving in Iraq and Leticia (Class of '05) is living in Provo, UT.  5 grandkids keep us very busy, also.

Be sure and check the photo album.  I have uploaded many pictures from the last reunion.

Apparently, we are limited to the number of images loaded on this site, so the following link has all the images I managed to snap, clip or scan during the20-Year ReUnion Photos Collection (this link is to SkyDrive.Live.com, you do not need to join the site to view.)

From Jane:
I am married with three children and live in Washington state.  I work part time as an Engineering Technician, drawing and designing piping systems on Navy ships. My daughter is a nurse at Harborview Medical Center in the burn unit and my boys are 12 and 14 and looking more like men every day! My husband is a Computer Systems Manager and we work for the same company so I get to see him even while working  : -) I love to hike and go often, when the weather permits, although a little rain never hurt anyone. I spent 5 years volunteering with Celebrate Recovery, a Christian 12-step program, and feel extremely blessed to be able to share with others what Jesus so freely gave to me. Sorry I will miss the reunion.  I hope everyone has a great time and uploads lots of photos!

From Lori:

Sorry I can't make the reunion, thank you to the committee for making this all possible.

I'm on my 20th year of being self employed. Someone once said that I work twice as hard as anyone else so I don't have to have a JOB.

I live in Page, AZ (on the Utah border at Lake Powell) with the goal of never having to own or use a snow shovel again!!!   So far so good.  I do miss all the green trees and grasses from the moisture in Pierre.  Where I live we get 4" of rain a year.  Just a different kind of beauty.

I'll be opening a B&B in spring 2010 in the house I'm remodeling right now, it has the best veiws in the area, you can even see a bit of the Grand Canyon from the master suite.  All are welcome!!!

I would enjoy hearing from any of you.  Look forward to seeing all the pictures from our 30th reunion!

I wish you all bright blessings.
